GAME ON!
Knowing when to stop…That is the focus of what our Faith Factory kids have been learning this month. The memory verse, James 1:19, which teaches us that it is better to be slow to speak and slow to get angry when dealing with problems, has helped us to remember who will help us really solve those problems. and our theme song this month from Seeds Family Worship, “Cast Your Cares On the Lord”, The kids have had a blast this month watching the various teachers, Miriam Lomelino, Gaby Clark, Daniel Hahn and Amy Engelmann, struggle with many of the issues that kids deal with in learning self-control: Too much junk food, too many hours playing a new video game, healing words instead of those that cut like a knife, and just pausing, like you are your own personal remote control, before you lose your temper and to think before you act. The kids have all learned it is better “to be patient, than to fight,” and that God can give them the power to control themselves. The motto they have all left with this month is “Choosing to do what you should do, not what you want to do.”
As we close out the month, all of Youth and Children’s Ministry is focused on the upcoming Auction: Night at the Fair. We look forward to seeing you all there.Auction Poster
